Looks like I'll have to amend my retirement plans. (mind you, I suppose things may change in the next 20 years when the bastards let me retire!) I'll have to retire to South Shields or Brambles Farm! |

I bought a back protector, balaclava, locks and socks - all seem pretty good
Next week they have lightweight tents http://www.lidl.co.uk/uk/home.nsf...c.o.20080407.p.2_Person_Tent.ar10 Think I'll get one for rallies and TT. The good thing about me working nights is that I finish work at 9am Monday, 2 minutes from a Lidl! So I will be there as it opens in case they sell out. If anyone else wants one let me know - especially the 2 of you who want me to take their tents to the Isle of Man! |

I called in at the Lidl in Whitby on monday and they still had bike stuff. I got a jet helmet and trickle charger (anybody know where I can lay my hands on a trickle?) 
Had a nice ride through "Aidensfield" and over to Pickering. Lovely day for it. Not sure about those tents. The wind can be pretty horrendous on the Island. My old dome tent has a permanent lean to the right, like one of them trees you see on the cliff top
